Supply List 2010

Dear Families,

We have opted to let teachers purchase the specific items that they require for each classroom this year, keeping your back-to-school shopping list short. The items we are asking you to provide are essentials for your child’s daily school success. Please make sure that all your child’s belongings are labelled with your child’s name or initials, including clothing and lunch containers.

• Reusable lunchbox or lunch kit; We strongly recommend a no-waste lunch for the benefit of all. Please stock up on simple containers of various sizes which are manageable by your child and fit inside the lunchbox. Lunches should be self-contained, requiring no heating or refrigeration and should include utensils as your child may need.

Label it!

• Reusable water bottle; Metal is best. Please no glass or single-use plastic water bottles; we have filtered water so your child may refill as necessary.

Label it!

• Sunscreen; a bottle for the classroom and on your child’s body daily before drop-off

Last Week of Camp Update

Dragonfly Families!

It’s our last week of camp, hard to believe summer is slipping by so fast… Â Circus fun continues and you can get in on the fun this week, details below. Â Last Thursday we had a really fun special guest, Michael! Â Who taught us the art of transforming into clowns. Â He had a few magic tricks up his sleeve too. Â Thanks to Julie for putting us in touch with him. Â Beverley brought out lots of great materials to create our circus animal crowns on Friday too. :)
IMPORTANT DETAILS for the LAST WEEK:
Wednesday DAY (morning) AT THE PARK: Please drop-off at the playground at Alto Street Park between 8:30am and 10am. Â We will play, have snack, play a few large group games in the field and then walk back to school around 11am. Â See you at school for PICK-UP.
CIRCUS days will be on Wednesday and Thursday, since Julia will be out on Friday. Â So please JOIN us at 3:15pm on either, or both, of these days to witness some daring acts, lions and sharks and wolves… oh my!
We’ll all need extra time to gather belongings on the last day of Camp, so we’re planning for a fun, lazy day of summer, after our Circus fun. Â Stephanie will be in for Julia which will be great for Seeds new and old, who will be returning on September 1st for school.
Thanks for a great five weeks of Summer Camp! Â It’s been amazing to greet new children and families and watch new friendships form as children do what they do best, PLAY!
