Weekly Update 9-25

Dear Families,

We enjoyed having so many of you at school for river clean-up and even more of you for our potluck on Saturday! Quite a bit of rubbish was collected from the river, and our lunch was delicious as always. Â We will be sorting and weighing our finds and tracking what we collect from the river throughout the year.

We are looking forward to another gorgeous day outside on Friday for our Wheelathon. Thanks to everyone for drumming up pledges for this event. If you can come to help us supervise young riders, please let your teacher know. We’ll need extra hands starting at 9:45 until about noon. Parents welcome to stay for lunch, as well. Thanks to Cheryl and Tony Farrar (whose children are Dragonfly alumi) of Bike and Sport for offering up their fix-it stand. Weekly Update 9-12-10

Dear Families,

Thanks for spending some time with us to focus on the school year at Back-To-School Nights last week. We hope that you had a good time and that you came away with valuable information about your Dragonfly community and your child’s education. Please know that we are available to answer your questions or concerns as they arise.
We will be scheduling one make-up meeting for the week of September 20th, either after school or in the evening. If you were unable to make it the first time and have a schedule which is set in stone, please let me know (reply to this note), and we will do our best to plan a day and time which works for everyone. Otherwise, one member from each family will need a separate meeting with a school director. Regardless, families need to meet with their classroom teacher to get any information they missed. Thanks! There is a lot we wish to share with you.

We had a great turnout for the Pet Parade yesterday, and our crew kept growing as we walked! We had both current and alumni Dragonfly families join in the festivities. It was fabulous to see you all there! Special thanks to Neve and her mom, Heather, for helping design and beautify our Dragon Wagon and to Ania’s family and Fiona’s family for helping to get it to the parade and back again. Also to Camille Castillo for making sure we were all well-outfitted and caught on film.
Dragonfly tshirts in kid and adult sizes are available in the office for $15.
