Dear Families,

We will be having field day on Tuesday; drop-off will take place at Alto St. Park, just west of the Bicentennial Pool on Alto St.

Please be sure to come to our end-of-year performance starting at 10:30 on Thursday, the last day of school. A treat is in store for you!

Thanks again for helping us put on a wonderful fair last week. In addition to huge amounts of fun, we also raised about $7,200 for the school, which will aid us in our classroom and administrative transitions for the coming year. If you’d like to give feedback on the fair (or anything else, for that matter,) please reply to this email.

It has been a great joy to work with your children and every family this year. We are so grateful to have this amazing community.

DATES TO LOOK OUT FOR (not many left now!):

TUESDAY, MAY 21-FIELD DAY-Drop-off at Alto St. Park! All the old favorites-parachute play, three-legged race, egg in the spoon, watermelon eating and sunprint making! We will walk back to school after lunch. Please remember hats, sunscreen, water bottles and lunches!

THURSDAY, MAY 23, 10:30-12:00-FINAL PERFORMANCE-Come experience our students as they put on a show just for you before we say our goodbyes for the year.

Tuition and Fees for the 2013-2014 School Year:

$10, 710 5 full days with aftercare, 8AM to 5 PM $1190 per month

$8,325 5 days, 8 AM to 3 PM $925 per month

$6,435 5 ½ day week, 8 AM to12:30 PM $715 per month

$7,110 3 full days with aftercare 8 AM to 5 PM, MWF $790 per month

$5,625 3 full days 8AM to 3 PM, MWF $625 per month

$4,005 3 ½ day week, 8 AM to 12:30 PM $425 per month

$4,680 2 full days with aftercare, TTh 8 AM to 5 PM $540 per month

Activities, materials and administration fee of $250 will be due in September or may be paid in 8 monthly installments of $31.50.

Dear Families,

Thanks so much to everyone who helped make Saturday’s Spring Fair such a great event! There was so much joy and creativity in evidence there! We hope that you had a wonderful time, too.

Happy mother’s day to all the amazing mothers who have brought their children to Dragonfly. We love and honor you and the important job that you do.

As we head into these last two weeks of school, please keep us informed of your child’s schedules and impending transitions. Young children do best when they have consistent information from all of the adults they interact with.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY, MAY 16 & 17-ASPENS OVERNIGHT CAMPING TRIP TO HOLY GHOST CAMPGROUND- Our oldest students will get out to enjoy nature together, have a lot of fun and practice some outdoor skills.

THURSDAY, MAY 16, 10-NOON-BEACH DAY FOR SAPLINGS, SPROUTS AND SEEDS-Weather permitting, we’ll get outside and get wet in every way we can think of. Please be sure your child has swimsuit, full-body sunscreen, sunhat, towel and change of clothes.

games, crafts, book and plant sales, chicken bingo, motorcycle sidecar

Dear families,

Though we are a bit late in announcing (sort of fitting for a baby almost two weeks late), Everett William Warren-Rothwell was born Friday, April 26. He was 8 lbs 12 oz and 22 inches long, and everyone is doing fine! Congratulations, Nazca and Phil!

Thanks to Megan Perkins for finally getting us on Facebook! You can check us out at http://www.facebook.com/DragonflySantaFe. We are excited to start interacting with our community in a new medium.

Please bring in your auction donations, used books, dvds, cds and kids toys (especially stuffed animals) as soon as possible. The fair is this Saturday!

Even if it’s only occasional, it is healthful and refreshing to leave your car at home and come to school on your own energy. We hope you will make a habit of walking or biking with your kids to various destinations, including Dragonfly School. We know that our prime location on the river path is considered a plus to many families.

Dear Families,

Final invoices were sent on Friday, even to families who are using their tuition deposits to cover May tuition. Please disregard the request for payment if you did not re-enroll per your re-enrollment contract in March, as your deposit will cover your May tuition. If you have re-enrolled, you owe May tuition, and your deposit holds your space for next year. Electronic payments will be scheduled according to your re-enrollment decision.

Sign-up sheets for the Spring Fair are in your classrooms. Please sign up to contribute your time and energy to a great day. It can’t happen without your participation. Thanks! Choices include helping with face painting, food booth, worm dig, planting, painting, toilet paper toss, fishing game and more! We also need people to contribute SALADS and BAKED GOODS for our concessions.

Remember, we asked every family to hold two hours of participation hours in reserve for this event. If you haven’t yet fulfilled your participation hours, this event is calling out to you in a big way. And a special THANK YOU to those over-achivers who have exceeded their hours and just keep on giving!! Those include the families of: Sam Allen, Kayson Axtell, Mikai Bacon, Griffin Becker, Luca Boyles, Rosie and Charlie Chapman, Olivia Green, Nakoa and Azarian Hardy, and Robin Menetrey! Wow, they’re awesome!

TUESDAY, APRIL 23-EARTH DAY CELEBRATION, 10:30-noon-Wear green! We will make mud & seed balls, paint peace flags, and repatriate our compost worms to the garden. There will be an all-school picnic lunch outdoors including dessert of worms and dirt for all (including both dairy and gluten-free options for those who need them)! Parents are invited to attend if they wish.

WEDNESDAY APRIL 24-INDIVIDUAL PHOTOS, 9:00 until done with David Pascale-These will be outdoor photos. Order forms in classrooms by sign-ins. Pre-order only, but if you aren’t satisfied, David is willing to refund.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24, 9:30-12:30-SPROUTS FIELD TRIP TO CERRILLOS to visit petting zoo, the park and enjoy an open air picnic. Sprouts will have the first scheduled photos of the day, so please be timely.

FRIDAY, APRIL 26-ASPEN CLASS FIELD TRIP TO SFCommunity College for EARTH WEEK SUSTAINABILITY FAIR
