Dear Families,
Â
Â
Our Valentines’ Day celebration was such a joy for all; much love and friendship was shared throughout our school community. Thanks to you all for helping your children make cards to exchange with one another.
Â
Love from the river to all those who participated in the weekend river clean-up: Kadin & Whitney Bacon & Tanje Bolle (plus Kadin’s 3-week-old baby brother, Micai!); Barbara Zuckerman & Tayo Regenold; Max Pitman; Karen, Megan & Robin Menetrey; Lisa Rohleder and Taylor Johnson-French. We cleared five bags of garbage, two of recyclables and one rusty shopping cart while we enjoyed the sunshine and the company of each other.
Â
Please remember that your re-enrollment paperwork is due back to us no later than March 3rd, regardless of your enrollment decision. It has come to our attention that we were unclear about enrollment options for the 2009-2010 school year. For the 2009-2010 school year, the four-day-week option will be limited to preschool students only. Our elementary school, which includes kindergarten (Buds Class), will be offered as a five-day-week program. Our apologies for any lack of clarity and for not notifying you of this change in a timely way.
Â
Preschool Families:
We are now offering two five-week summer sessions for three and four-year-old students. Registration is currently open only to students enrolled in Dragonfly for this school year. We will reserve this in-house registration until Monday, March 9, after which we will open registration to the general public. Available dates, tuition information and contracts available in the Seeds classroom (or via e-mail) from Stephanie.
Staff for the preschool summer sessions will include Robbie, Natalie, Adi, and Jen. Our  staffing schedule is yet to be determined. Curriculum will be a continuation of our school-year practices along with more outdoor, hands-on sensory experiences and short walking excursions around our neighborhood.
As space is limited to 16 students per day per session, we are restricting the age of students for the summer. If your child is age five or older, we recommend that you look into Children’s Adventure Company as they share our space and run an excellent summer program. Feel free to call Dee at 988-7201. Brochures are available in the Buds’ classroom.
