Following in her mother’s footsteps as a community servant, Ann Gomez’s teenage daughter, Marisa, has created a community service project of putting together turn-away packs for the local homeless shelters, to provide a bit of assistance for those who arrive after the shelter may be full. She is still looking to add snack size healthy foods to her packs. Please donate energy bars, jerky, nuts or other light, non-perishable protein foods for this cause! FRIDAY, APRIL 20-DRAGONFLY CELEBRATES EARTH DAY AND COURTNEY!- We will say goodbye to our beloved Saplings teacher as she takes leave to prepare for her new arrival, due in May! In honour of Coutney’s new baby girl and in celebration of our planet, we will plant a new tree on the school grounds. Let’s make this day as green as possible: think green, wear green and pack green foods in your lunch. We will picnic as a whole-school group and share popsicles after lunch.
