Hello to all!
Hope your weekend is ejoyable and cooler with the recent rains. Â A few
notes about summer camp:
LAST WEEK we welcomed summer on the solstice, painted a community
mural celebrating the sun on the longest day(light) of the year, made
berry-banana smoothies, planted burgundy bush beans in the garden
around our pea tipi, shared what we love most about summer (swimming
and camping were the top faves!), painted with our hands and feet onto
BIG paper outside, and built even more play forts!
THIS WEEK we will explore CAMPING. Â We will share camping stories,
sing campfire songs, go on hiking adventures, play games, cook camp
grub, get crafty, investigate night noises, and of course, build tents
and forts!
T-SHIRT DYEING will happen this Wednesday and Thursday. Â Hooray!
Please write your child’s name on their shirt (or pillowcase, etc.)
and deposit it into the box provided on the sign-in counter. Â Thanks!
NEEDED: Â If you happen to have extra of the following items, please
donate them to our camp.
* plastic shopping bags
* newspaper
MISSING: Light green girl’s t-shirt — Â “The Children’s Place” brand
– If found, please return or contact Anabella (Emma & Hannah’s mom).
Thank you, thank you!
HOLIDAY: As Stephanie mentioned, MONDAY, JULY 5th is a holiday, in
observance of Independence Day, so there will be no camp that day.
Please mark your calendars.
Best wishes to all and see you soon!
